Technical Manager
Our client is a fast growing business with a rapidly increasing apparel based product and they are now looking for an Experienced Senior Technical Manager to join their team.
This exciting new position has been created to manage and develop this growing team and to add authority and leadership into their development process.
Technical Manager - The candidate
The ideal candidate will have:-
- An in-depth and extensive knowledge of multi-product garment construction and fit.
- A good knowledge of fabric testing including an understanding of industry QA standards and constraints.
- Experience of working with offshore factories.
- Excellent IT skills including Adobe AI
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motive a team.
- A technical degree or a proven track record of experience within garment technology is desirable.
- Ideally you will have set-up technical user manuals previously
Technical Manager – The Role
- Managing the development team; garment technologists, developers and student placements.
- To ensure the timely development of all products
- Manage the interface between the design and production department.
- Develop and implementation of time-lines / critical paths
- Run the lab dip program.
- Run garment review meetings.
Specialising in performance apparel and all that our sport encompasses you will ideally have an affinity for road cycling or active sports and a capacity to combine your passion for the sport within this technical role!
An ability to travel overseas is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished garment technologist to progress their career to a management role
