Job Description

Do you have a background in fashion and textiles in Account Management, and an interest in social enterprise and sustainability?.  Our client is 100% GOTS certified seed-to-shop vertical manufacturer producing premium, re-usable, fully traceable organic products. 

Account Manager – The Job Outline

  • Lead the relationship with key clients. 
  • To establish strong relationships with out-bound clients and manage accounts to maximise growth and profit opportunities, pushing to exceed budgets whilst maintaining a personal approach.
  • Work with the Head of Sales to actively pursue growth with additional strategic customers, including inbound.
  • Liaise with India team to ensure orders move through all stages from development to production to plan and meet high quality expectations.
  • Work closely with India team and the UK Head of Operations & Finance to plan, forecast and schedule orders, ensuring delivery is in line with client requirements.
  • Negotiate cost and selling prices in line with Budget targets.
  • Input and track orders through ERP system, ensuring detail input is accurate and kept up to date.
  • Manage travel, samples and sample freight costs in line with budgets and help identify opportunities to improve values and generate cost savings throughout the development process.
  • Identify, evaluate and interpret market trends, initiate and drive new product development in line with re-wrap strategy.
  • Organise and attend customer meetings as and when required.
  • Overseas travel as and when required.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at all times.

Account Manager – The Person Specification

  • Previous experience within a similar account management position (min. 3-5 years), within fashion, textiles or woven accessories or bags.
  • Managing existing relationships and ideally some experience in developing new sales.
  • Experience of business development, including planning and delivering pitches to established and prospective clients
  • Working knowledge of woven textiles and production process
  • Understanding of organic textiles, fair-trade and/or sustainability in the wider marketplace would be desirable
  • Experience of ERP resource planning management software
  • IT literate on packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and manage multiple prioritises under pressure
  • Adaptable with strong problem-solving skills
  • Numerate, with high attention to detail
  • Hands-on, proactive and positive approach
  • Passionate about sustainability and doing good!
