 Ecommerce Manager Apparel

Maternity Cover (12 months)


Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Exciting opportunity has arisen to join an exciting and well established British business within their rapidly expanding clothing team. This position is for a 12 month maternity cover role, but there is a strong possibility of this becoming permanent if the successful person proves to be an asset to the team.

Candidate needs to be from an E-commerce background within fashion or textiles, and ideally have a good knowledge of working on a B2C website in its early stages, taking it to market. You will be working with quality product is across mens and womenswear, with a focus on lifestyle and leisurewear.

Apparel Ecommerce Manager – The Role:

  • You will be heavily involved in the final build and testing of this brands first e-commerce platform.
  • You will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the e-commerce website.
  • Working closely with several internal departments, ensuring excellent communication, to ensure a successful e-commerce launch.
  • Work with design agency to continuously look to improve the UE on the site.
  • Email Marketing & customer retention – Generating the email marketing calendar.
  • You will be accountable for managing sites content – work closely with design and other internal teams to make sure the content is always up-to-date and brand consistent.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales against target
  • Forecast new launches and replenishment on new products.
  • Monitoring and reporting of onsite performance using Google Analytics.
  • Optimization of the online user experience to drive up conversions.
  • Budget management of ecommerce and marketing planning.
  • Performing regular site checks.
  • Ongoing competitor analysis.
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve the customer journey and the conversion rate of the website.
  • KPI Reporting & analysis- produce daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • 12 month initial maternity cover contract.

Apparel Ecommerce Manager Clothing - The Person:

  • Degree Educated 
  • Previous experience in similar position
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and being a point of contact within a central team.
  • Awareness of digital marketing principles and activities
  • Advanced web and mobile channel development
  • Advanced Digital Analytics (Quant. and Qual.)
  • User Experience and Web Design
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation and A/B Testing
    • Knowledge of web channel regulatory environment
    • Programme management
    • Change Management
    • Team management
