Job Description

Our client is a growing lifestyle apparel brand inspired by their beautiful landscape, looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will be to lead sales strategy for growth, bringing structure and process, and management of a team.

Head of Sales

  • To drive and implement a sales strategy to increase sales and open up new opportunities, in addition to strengthening relationships with existing customer base (independents, specialists and key accounts).
  • To raise the profile of the brand in the marketplace, both UK and beyond. 
  • Evaluate current business model, set short and long term strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Implement a sales structure and process to support plan and forecast for season, and adapt to longer term distribution opportunities.
  • Accountable for customer trading terms/discounts
  • Build, manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales team to meet the needs of the business as it grows and develops including sales managers, agents and distributors and administration support, Ensuring a high standard of professionalism, and personal development is aligned with company values and culture. Ensure monthly sales targets and KPI's are met
  • Plan, co-ordinate and maximise sales launch and promotional activities including Exhibition / Trade Show Events (UK and Europe).
  • Demonstrate a continued and full understanding of the brand; its position within the market sector, competitors, trends, pricing strategy etc.

Head of Sales

  • Experience within a sales position for branded environment, apparel or textiles related with proven successful track record.
  • Min.5 years’ experience in regional or national sales, or key account management or similar position. 
  • Strategic account planning and commercial acumen.
  • Experience of selling into the independents sector is essential. 
  • A skilled negotiator, presenter and effective communicator.
  • Flexible approach and well organised. 
  • A self starter, self finisher.
  • A team leader / team player. Previous management of a team. 
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within a smaller Head Office environment.
  • To lead by example and be ‘hands on’ and active as part of the sales team.
  • High level of IT competency: Microsoft Office.
  • Applicants must be within reasonable commuting distance, or relocate for the position.
