Job Description

My Client is a well-established supplier of Fast Fashion to the UK High Street, they are looking for an established and creative Menswear Designer, to join their shirts team. You will be responsible for design and development of commercial trend led woven shirts, responsible for garment styling, fabric development, weave and print, you will work closely with the buyers to understand their needs and trend direction.

Menswear Designer - The Role:-

  • Identify and develop the most relevant fashion trends and colour palettes
  • Build excellent relationships with the High Street Buyers
  • Present ranges and take Buyers’ briefs for developments
  • Understand garment construction and production constraints
  • Produce detailed tech packs and brief suppliers confidently
  • Work on commercial prints and fabric development directly with the mills
  • Work closely to build relationship with the team offshore

Menswear Designer - The Person:-

  • You will be creative and trend driven with experience in Menswear Casualwear Design, ideally shirting and have good fabric knowledge
  • You will have a commercial eye which complements your trend awareness
  • You will be experienced in a customer facing role, presenting to buyers and building relationships
  • Computer literate with excellent CAD skills
  • Print Design experience is preferred and Weave Design knowledge is desirable
  • You will be a team player and able to problem solve
