Job Description

An exciting new print design opportunity has arisen, looking to recruit someone with a trend driven and feminine handwriting to create innovative, eye catching prints for swimwear, beach and lingerie.

Print Designer – The role

  • To design and develop new prints for swim, beach and lingerie.
  • Research and develop ideas from various sources; scanning, redrawing and changing colour ways; using software packages to create new effects.
  • Liaise with suppliers and printers, garment designers and Managers on colour/ideas/proofs for artwork and other projects.
  • To create original print ideas. To research trend and colour info applicable to print design
  • To put print ideas into repeat, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
  • Visit trade fairs, suppliers and key markets for inspiration, research and development.

Print Designer – The person

  • Experience within textiles/print design for womenswear (min. 3-5years) within a supplier, brand or retailer.  CAD and hand drawn/illustrative experience.
  • Ideal applicant will have of experience creating prints for swimwear/beach or resort wear, lingerie, intimates or active/sportswear
  • Confident ability to create original prints (hand drawn or CAD), and all over, repeats. Ability to also manipulate imagery, colours, rescale/resize, recolour etc.
  • A proactive, creative eye for details ie. identify & intrepret future trends, colour / detail
  • Highly proficient CAD Illustrator/Photoshop.  A knowledge of Kalido software would be advantageous.
  • A knowledge of garment construction
  • Good organisational and time management skills. Ability to organise work load according to priority and deadlines
  • A confident communicator, and a good team member.
  • Thrives within a fast paced but fun environment.
