Job Description

This opportunity is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Account Manager for an established intimates and multi category supplier.  Strong management and communication skills with the ability to lead a small, busy UK team. You will have a background in interpreting commercial trends, confident presentation and negotiation skills with retailers to develop relationships and product in line with customers’ DNA.

Sales Account Manager  - Job Outline

  • Analyse sales/ sales history /potential sales growth areas and formulate seasonal sales strategies for the business.
  • Commercially aware, interpret latest key trends/research and proactively develop product for presentation to new and existing customers. Build and procure ranges that suit the client needs – location and brand dependent.
  • Manage relationship with clients to ensure their needs are being met through market awareness and in-depth understanding of their product needs/prices/target consumers.
  • Monitor client sales and formulate ways to react to sales and ensure sales growth for the business.
  • Manage product development for each range from concept to delivery.  
  • Negotiating cost prices with offshore suppliers/factories and ensuring primary margins are being achieved.
  • Performing SWOT analysis for the team internally and externally to better equip forward plans.
  • Monitoring Critical path management to ensure on-time delivery to client.
  • Maintaining continuous improvement within the business unit and ways of working.

Sales Account Manager - The Person Specification

  • Previous relevant experience within a similar Sales or Account Manager position within fashion or accessories (min. 4-5years).
  • Proven experience from within a supplier environment to a mix of high street retailers, mail order, online retailers etc.
  • A knowledge of lingerie/swim or sportswear would be advantageous.
  • Ability to drive and develop successful working relationships with customers from design concept to delivery. To deliver rewarding business and achieve sales targets.
  • Confident understanding of the supply/manufacturing process.
  • Highly motivated, organised, attentive to detail with excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Good networking, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Team Player: ability and will to work co-operatively with others within a team and across departments towards a common objective.
  • Adaptable to change/ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to travel offshore 3-4 times per year.
