Job Description

This opportunity seeks previous project management, or account service management experience, and a keen interest to work in textiles services.

Our client is internationally recognised as a global leader and innovator in the specialist fields of laboratory testing, product inspection and technical consultancy services. This position will be within their Consumer & Retail team, working within fashion & textiles, furniture, cosmetics and related categories.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for acting as a technical liaison point between the client, the Global Key Account Manager and the Softlines testing laboratories, ensuring the account runs smoothly and appropriate services are implemented.

  

Senior Client Project Co-ordinator – The Job Outline

  • Assist the client and Key Account Manager with day to day activities and help set up, manage and deliver key Softlines testing and due diligence projects.
  • Update the Key Account Manager on a regular basis regarding activities and challenges being faced within the account to enable them to act accordingly
  • Support and build relationships between the client, the Company and across Strategic Business Units.
  • Act as the key liaison point between the client and internal teams to ensure the testing database is developed to meet with clients’ requirements.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate a range of technical enquiries between the client and company affiliates. 
  • Act as the key coordinator of training programmes for the client and their suppliers including lab/factory visits as and when requested.
  • Submit a monthly report on the account activities to the relevant Key Account Manager
  • Present an efficient work process to facilitate the supply of information requested by the client in the prescribed time scales so that all expectations of the contract are delivered.
  • Understand the requirements of the client and communicate these requirements effectively to business and the Key Account Manager to ensure the level of service given by the Company meets the clients’ expectations.
  • Be a proactive member of the client’s team and input into process improvements and to become an essential member of that team  

Senior Client Project Co-ordinator – The Person Specification

Degree educated, in fashion or textiles related subject is desirable.

  • Previous work based experience within textiles/clothing industry, ideally within a similar client focussed, project management or account management role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound approach to chasing and obtaining information quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage numerous enquiries simultaneously.
  • High level of computer literacy (Word documents, Excel spreadsheets etc).
  • To project manage enquiries from a number of sources to ensure all work is delivered to required deadlines.
  • An understanding of textile testing and ability to read and understand test reports, or knowledge of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) would be desirable, but not essential
  • A confident team player, someone who enjoys taking ownership and managing projects to support business growth, but also works well independently to complete tasks to deadlines.
