I am working with an established manufacturer, with operations across China, who are looking to launch their UK base. They are looking for a dynamic sales/ business development manager, who can select and develop cohesive ranges with the team in China, and open doors with UK retailers. You will be driven and passionate about product and you will have a good eye for trend. This is a great opportunity to join this business at a crucial time for their growth and you will be instrumental in setting the way forward.

The Position:

  • Build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sample range and present to customers.
  • Taking customer briefs and translating their expectations to the development teams.
  • Negotiating costs and delivery dates with the customer.
  • Monitor and analyse the UK market and react to trends and missed opportunities.
  • Communicate daily with the teams in China, and manage the sample flow

The Candidate:

  • You will have a proven background in a similar role and an ability to open new doors.
  • You will be confident presenting and managing the customers’ expectations
  • You will be a strong negotiator and drive new business.
  • Product knowledge across, men’s, ladies and childrenswear is preferred.  
  • You will have a commercial eye and trend awareness
  • You will be a team player and able to problem solve
  • You will be a strong communicator, able to get the best from people.
