A great opportunity for an experienced Designer to join this well-established fashion supplier of Woven Men's and Boys’ shirts and Jersey products. With a reputation for delivering quality design, service and products, from concept to fulfilment, the business has won prestigious growth and gained them preferred supplier status to a number of top High Street stores and Brands.
Designer – Menswear & Boyswear - The Role
- Managing design process from concept through to final product
- Continuous trend research and high street analysis.
- Create trend boards/ books and shop reports.
- Working closely with team members to propose seasonal themes, new concepts.
- Translate design briefs into commercial ranges.
- Seasonal sourcing of fabrics and trims.
- Producing design spec packs for sampling.
- Liaising with factories to ensure accurate development and production viable products.
- Liaison with Buyers, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Presenting to Buyers when required.
Designer – Menswear & Boyswear – The Person
- Must have minimum of 3 years experience designing Menswear/Boyswear Jersey & Wovens.
- A Degree in Design / Fashion related
- Strong commercial Menswear/Boyswear handwriting , a sense of style and colour.
- A good eye for embellishments, print.
- Some Graphic design experience prefered
- Confident user of Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Able to produce spec packs to high accuracy.
- A good technical knowledge of fabrics and washes.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills. Self-motivated and a good team spirit.
- Flexible in approach to work and able to travel for research and development.
