A well-known Luxury Womenswear brand is expanding!
You will be passionate about the luxury sector, and be knowledgeable within Womenswear design, where you will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the brands aesthetic and handwriting.
You will work directly with the Creative Director and Head of Design across all stages of the Design process.
Senior Womenswear Designer- The Role
- You will be responsible for designing ranges that are in line with the brands aesthetic and customer base, ensuring reflects the needs of the customer and the ever-changing market.
- Research and analyse market trends, fabric innovations, and customer preferences to inform design decisions and maintain competitive relevance.
- Produce detailed technical drawings, garment specifications, and material swatches to guide the production process.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and technical teams to ensure accurate execution of designs, focusing on fit, fabrication, and construction.
- Oversee the fitting process for samples, ensuring that garments meet the desired aesthetic and quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments based on fitting feedback to refine the design before production.
- Work closely with the Creative Director to curate cohesive collections that effectively communicate the brand’s vision.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to contribute to promotional materials and product launches, ensuring alignment between design and brand messaging.
- Coordinate with the atelier team to manage the flow of sample production and ensure timelines are met.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the production team to communicate design intentions and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Stay informed of current fashion trends and insights to continually evolve the design process and product offerings.
- Prepare and present design concepts, mood boards, and seasonal narratives to the creative and executive teams.
Senior Womenswear Designer- The Person
- You must have previous design experience within the Luxury/ Contemporary market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the Womenswear market within the Luxury sector.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D design tools is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric qualities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
