My client is a hugely successful womenswear brand, going through a period of growth and introducing new collections. They are looking for a dynamic, creative, trend forecaster to work with the Brand Founder and Head of Product. You would be responsible for setting direction of seasonal trends, driving concept and leading storytelling across the brand. You will brief concepts to the wider design and development teams and introduce innovation across product and materials.

This role is open to someone established in a similar role or a junior trend-aware designer looking to make a change to a more creative role. You must have a relevant portfolio demonstrating your experience with trend and concept development.

Womenswear Trend Forecaster - The Role

  • Identify and develop monthly trend concepts, mood boards, and colour stories in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work with design and development teams to set direction on fabric development and introduce newness.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director / Founder to bring the brand vision to life through collections.
  • Present to Design teams; inspire and lead on creative concepts.
  • Maintain strict timelines and deliver trend and concept presentations on time, in line with seasonal development trigger dates.

Womenswear Trend Forecaster - The candidate

  • Excellent understanding of womenswear trends, commercial eye and passion for new innovation.
  • You will have exceptional presentation skills and be able to inspire others.
  • You will have a proven ability to translate trend/concept into commercial design strategy.
  • Experience working with head office teams and communicating with design, development and fabric sourcing teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, you will be confident in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will have a number of years of experience in a trend-led role within womenswear.
