Recruiting for an established and rapidly growing Womenswear Fashion brand based in North London!

Junior IT Assistant – The Responsibilities

  • To provide 1st/2nd line support to users in the business via phone, email, and remote connections
  • Monitoring and taking ownership of tickets queues for: 
    • Hardware including PC’s, laptops, printers, and mobile devices 
    • Software including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Desktop OS, SCCM, WMS, EDI
  • Administration and support of Network Devices
  • System builds/software installations and configuration
  • IT asset management of all IT inventory.
  • Management of the day-to-day working relationship between the delivery partner, company, Solutions and Client
  • Supporting other team members to resolve issues and training staff 
  • Input into ad-hoc projects when required
  • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
  • Troubleshooting: diagnosing and testing issues raised in relation to all hardware and software and escalating calls to appropriate individuals/company 
  • Produce and maintain concise documentation on systems and procedures for the benefit of the IT team. 
  • Provide technical and functional support on applications, portals and software and support for all products/ equipment implemented in the business
  • Supporting devices and users on a Windows network comprising of Windows PC's and laptops, Active Directory and Exchange. 
  • Deploy PCs and devices to users and provide maintenance when required to ensure continuity of day-to-day business. 
  • Manage security of information as defined in the Security protocol. 
  • Help ensure the company’s systems align with industry related accreditations such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials certification’ and any other regulations such as GDPR.
  • Create and maintain documentation and diagrams of office infrastructure, underlying services, and systems.
  • Periodically review appropriateness of technologies used, provide recommendations, and drive the implementation of improvements.

Junior IT Assistant – The Skills

  • Significant experience in a similar IT Support role.
  • Extensive overall IT experience,
  • Skilled in hardware performance monitoring, analysis, and capacity planning.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory topologies and office 365 systems.
  • Will be managing a Microsoft/Mac environment consisting of Windows 10, macOS, Apple devices, Server 2012 - 2019, MS365 and Azure, Hyper-V, HP Servers etc
  • You should have a solid knowledge in Networks, Network security and IT problem solving
  • Be well versed with CRM, ERP
  • Network and application security. Threat management gateway Email scanning technologies.
  • Experience with implementing new processes and following through with required disciplines
  • Excellent collaboration and communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service ethics and sense of urgency
  • Quick turnaround on instructions or requests from senior management.
  • Ability to perform well in team environments.
  • Ability to deliver and coordinate projects within tight deadlines. General understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn, explore new ideas and innovate.
  • Excellent attention to detail. A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
