Job Description

We are an internationally recognised full figure and full bust lingerie specialist, looking to recruit a talented Lingerie Designer with a good level of technical understanding.

Your role will be to create directional, on-trend lingerie ranges. This is about celebrating curves and pushing the brand forward, and you will be someone who shares this passion, and can bring fresh ideas.

Lingerie Designer - The Job Specification

  • Research and interpret global trends, and innovations for new seasonal development
  • Produce and present seasonal trend boards
  • Design and engineer new product and co-ordinated ranges for the brand.
  • Creation and fit development of commercial and technically viable lingerie
  • Understand costing restraints and work garment in line with targets
  • Draft and grade patterns to a specified fit standard
  • Produce measurement charts and technical information
  • Work with technical teams to develop and finalise garment for production
  • Work with suppliers, to source and develop new materials which are fit for purpose
  • Visit key markets, study sales feedback and research online to develop your knowledge of market trends

Lingerie Designer  – The Person Specification

  • Degree educated degree in Contour Fashion or similar. Minimum of 2 years lingerie design experience
  • A keen eye for print/colour and detail.
  • Confident bra pattern cutting skills (Manual or Lectra). Grading skills would be advantageous – training will be provided.
  • Ability to identify trends, recognise key competitors and retail trends to create commercial products
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator with strong CAD skills
  • Highly organized, passionate and efficient, with strong problem solving skills, and a can-do attitude
  • Flexible and comfortable sharing ideas and working in a team
  • Ability to travel as and when required
