Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced, trend-led Womenswear Designer to take the next step in their career and join a friendly team with a fast fashion label. This successful Designer will be working predominately on jerseywear product with experience in print / graphics.

I am looking for aspirational portfolios which explore future trends and interesting new shapes for Women's fashion, whilst also being commercial.

Experienced Womenswear Designer - The Role:

  • Researching and identifying future womenswear trends and catwalk influences within this fast fashion environment.
  • Designing trend-led young fashion jersey collections – products range across mainly across dresses, playsuits, jumpsuits, tops, skirts and trousers.
  • Compiling comparative shop reports.
  • Face to face customers meetings, working closely with a Senior Account Manager.
  • Garments fitting, fabric and trim sourcing, and liaising with the factories are also big parts of the role.
  • Designing and developing prints / graphics.
  • You will be working in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Working closely with buying and merchandising teams to source, present and select commercial ranges.

Experienced Womenswear Designer - The Candidate:

  • This position is looking for solid previous womenswear design experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have a design related Degree.
  • I am looking for a candidate with a real eye for fashion and translating trends.
  • You will be a well organised, confident communicator, experienced in managing priorities and liaising with internal teams and external suppliers etc.
  • Proficient on Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, adaptable to change and able to work closely with buyers and present your idea's, requiring a confident, 'can do' attitude to your work.
  • Have experience of working closely with overseas factories.
  • You must also be an effective communicator & team player to step into this challenging role and be confident at building good internal and external relationships.
  • Happy to travel regularly to overseas factories and suppliers.
