Job Description
This fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a motivated, highly organised Production Merchandiser and sales liaison with a well established supplier of hosiery, legwear and underwear.
Part of a small team, you will be working with both private label and branded merchandise, supplying many of the largest UK retailers/e-tailers, as well as independent stores. You will support the sales and development team by managing the product critical path and supplier management in line with key business objectives. The role is a mix of purchasing, stock control, logistics, product management and customer relationship management and reporting.
Merchandiser – The Job Role
Duties include:
- Responsible for all branded stocks purchases
- To manage all branded stock orders with suppliers and customer.
- Manage and monitor all stock orders through the business
- Manage deliveries into 3rd party warehouse
- Management of critical paths for both branded and PL key retailers, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Monitor availability – liaise with factories to expedite/slow down lines.
- Provide and keep accurate records on all commitments, and adjustments.
- Daily contact with all to ensure enquiries, orders and queries are dealt with efficiently.
- Managing key account sales order through the system
- Management of all logistical requirements for each customers.
- Liaising with all freight forwarders to ensure all orders are booked in and shipped correctly.
- Ensuring all customs shipping paperwork and invoices are supplied correctly and on time.
- Maintaining and updating all relevant shipping systems.
- Working with customers on different terms, Landed, CIF or FOB
- Create all new style codes for the brand.
- Place orders with suppliers for packaging as required
- Produce various reports
Merchandiser – Skills & Experience
- Experience within a similar merchandiser, sales administration, or production planning role.
- Confident relationship management /customer service experience with retailers such as JLP, Sainsbury, Amazon or ASOS.
- Requires a high level of sales analysis and stock management
- Competent in Excel analysis methods, such as pivot tables
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with as professional telephone manner is essential.
- SAGE SOP system knowledge and EDI order processing knowledge would be an advantage
- Must be self-motivated, highly organised with attention to detail and good time management skills.
- A passion, knowledge and genuine interest in women’s fashion
