Job Description

With a studio based in a stunning location, our client is a well-established design agency offering a total creative service to Licensors, Licensees and Retailers. This new opportunity seeks to recruit a dynamic and creative Print & Placement Graphics Designer to join their team.

Working across multiple exciting projects, this role is the ‘go-to’, key point of contact in the studio for the creation of prints & patterns, graphic placements, badges, embellishments & endorsements.

Print & Placement Graphics Designer – The Job Outline:

  • To create concepts that are innovative and on-brand, and will deliver across a diverse mix of branded properties, across all demographics and market sectors.
  • To accurately interpret and represent the brand DNA/ handwriting as well as their expectations and requirements.
  • Creating original prints & patterns, and bringing fresh ideas to licenses to develop new looks for apparel, accessories, home textiles, packaging and much more
  • Producing high standard CADs for presentation, trend books and style guides
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on joint projects
  • To manipulate, prep assets and produce artwork to finished standard (inc. allover/repeat, rescale, resize, recolour, photo edit) and in line with in-house studio process.
  • Maintaining an awareness of latest production techniques, applications and finishes.

Print & Placement Graphics Designer – The Person Specification:

  • BA (Hons) Mixed Media Textile/Surface Pattern/Fashion Graphics or related qualification.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative flair, originality and artistic ability.
  • A strong interest in print, textiles, fashion and related product.
  • A great eye for colour, pattern, texture, embellishment and fabric.
  • Excellent CAD skills. Highly competent using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Licensing/Brand experience a real advantage.
  • Proven trend forecasting skills as well as a commercial eye, and an understanding of different markets and demographics.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team with strong communication skills.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to remain calm and supportive under pressure.
  • Professional integrity and the ability to work to tight deadlines with accuracy and consistency.
  • Access to own vehicle due to location.

Print & Placement Graphics Designer:

  • Due to their location, you will need access to your own vehicle as public transport is limited.  Close proximity to both Nottingham and Derby and within easy reach of Leicestershire.
  • Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential to this role.
