Job Description

My client is a well-known streetwear brand, they’re currently experiencing a period of growth.

With the brand growing rapidly the team is expanding, they’re currently looking for a Production Assistant to join their Head Offices in Watford. Reporting into the Head of Production, the Production Assistant will aid in the day-to-day management of the critical path.

Production Assistant – The Role

  • Critical path management.
  • Chasing approvals, pre-production, and production samples in line with critical path dates.
  • Keeping a detailed record of approvals and critical dates, providing information to relevant stakeholders at regular intervals.
  • Liaising daily with overseas sourcing offices and suppliers – communicating in a clear and concise way.
  • Sample management – chasing and logging samples on behalf of the design team, marketing, and the Head of Production. 
  • Working with Marketing to establish an efficient way of working to order in and track marketing samples in line with the Marketing critical path for photo shoots and PR. 
  • Maintaining office sample rails.
  • Daily communication with design and technical team in Birmingham.
  • Organising couriers.
  • Willing and ready to assist the rest of the team with various tasks when needed.
  • Management of daily administrative tasks.

Production Assistant – Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Highly organised and proactive, able to handle large amounts of information at one time
  • Excellent communication
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of the garment production process and an understanding of the importance of adhering to a critical path
  • A basic knowledge of garment construction
  • Good numerical ability, Windows, and Excel knowledge with the ability to communicate this information effectively to the rest of the team when necessary.
  • The candidate must be detailed and logical to have a thorough understanding of each customer’s processes and systems. Maintaining and adhering to critical paths for each customer
