Due to continued growth our client is looking to recruit a Quality Controller to join their expanding team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will working from office to warehouse, and in close proximity to the product development team, warehousing and your suppliers & factories. To control the quality of all products in line with the approved standards.  Working with multi apparel, mens & womens including tailoring, outerwear, softs to knit to accessories! 

Quality Controller – The Position:

  • Dependent on experience level. To set up and monitor a full QC solution throughout the supply chain and in house to quantify and improve quality standards throughout the business; including independent third-party solutions.
  • To ensure relevant quality tasks are achieved to all business-critical path key dates.
  • Working on wearer trial & fit assessments prior to bulk production
  • To check and approve repeat order black seals across the supply chain.
  • To circulate audit results and quality issue reports monthly for future quality improvement.
  • To record and investigate customer returns, and create corrective action plans with the relevant factories.
  • To work with the technical team to maintain and reinforce the product quality standard required and support the PD team for development when required
  • To work with the fabric technologist to drive fabric quality in the final products and support fabric approval when required.
  • To liaise with the Returns department to resolve any return’s queries, and feedback quality issues to supplier for improvement.
  • To report any recurring/quality issue trends to the Quality Manager.
  • To work in line with and continuously enhance the standard operating manuals and processes to ensure consistency of approach.
  • To travel to the factories for quality audits and black sealing where required.

Quality Controller - The Candidate:

  • Previous Quality Control experience, or a garment technical background working within fashion & textiles (min. of 2yrs).  Applicants from Fashion Graduates with relevant garment technical work experience will be considered.
  • Good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Confident communication skills
  • Accurate and attentive to detail
  • Proactively identify and manage technical issues through effective liaison with the technical team
  • Well organised and ability to multi task and work to critical path deadlines (on own initiative and as part of a team)
  • A team player with a can do attitude
  • A good working knowledge of AQL (in the apparel industry) is essential.
