Salary £25 – 30k DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, business minded Account Manager or Commercial Sales Manager with an affinity for good quality, exciting fashion, to join a successful, jersey supplier in the heart of Leicestershire.

You will account manage across multi product jersey apparel for their biggest customer, who is one of the major retailers on the UK high street. You must ensure the commercial management of existing and new products by category, from product inception, through technical development, manufacture and delivery to customer.

Sales and Account Manager - The Role:

  • Develop good working relationships with category buyers and category personnel, across mens, womens and kids with one of the biggest retailers on the UK high street, in order to meet the customers’ needs as well as the operational and commercial requirements of our business.
  • To proactively identify/develop new opportunities within jersey with existing customer.
  • Ensure effective communication at all levels, internally and externally, and continuously guarantee all information is provided to customers in a timely, accurate and appropriate way.
  • To manage the critical path process and organise sales process from start to finish.
  • Keep one step of the competition by researching and comp shops to provide your clients with leading edge product.

Senior and Account Manager - The Candidate:

  • Successful candidate must be driven, ambitious and career-focussed, as well as being commercially minded with excellent business acumen.
  • Must understand the dynamics of a supply business
  • Ideal candidate would possess excellent knowledge of jersey fabrics.
  • Must also have experience of working with/for a large fashion retailer.
  • Ability to identify and develop new opportunities with existing customers is crucial.
  • Must be able to build relationships and give importance to people at all levels – from Buyers Assistant to Buying Director.
  • A passion, knowledge and genuine interest in fashion.
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail with excellent communication skills (written & oral). Fully fluent in Microsoft Office, in particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be happy to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and work well within a small team to support one another and ensure the job gets done.
