Job Description

A new opportunity looking to recruit a dynamic, customer focused Sales Manager with an established supplier of childrens, mens and womenswear. 

Sales Manager – The Role:

  • To proactively manage all day to day activities and communication with key accounts and supply base.
  • To work closely with design and product development, to develop innovative and commercial ranges and ensure customer standards are met.
  • To be commercially aware of latest key trends/research and proactively develop product for presentation to customers
  • Provide costings, negotiate prices, deliveries and minimums with buyers to work within manufacturing leadtimes.
  • To ensure effective communication with all parties from concept stage to confirmation of order, approvals and to delivery.
  • Oversee the critical path throughout the lifecycle of the process from concept/order to delivery.
  • To negotiate trading terms with the supply base, developing strong relationships with factories and a full understanding for their capabilities, compliance and compatibility to meet customers’ requirements.

Sales Manager – The Person Specification:

  • Previous experience within an Account Management or similar Sales Management position in fashion/textiles,  supplying to key retailers, high street, mail order, and online ·   
  • A knowledge of working with licenses would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in understanding customer specific needs and ability to implement successfully
  • Strong commercial background in managing the supply chain process, building strong relationships with factories and supply base
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral.
  • Highly motivated, good team player, proactive, methodical and organised with effective time management skills to work in a fast paced working environment
  • Ability to work proactively and to trouble shoot/problem solve.
  • Good numerical ability with a knowledge of negotiating costings and prices.
