Fantastic opportunity with a well-established and well-respected London-based trend led fast fashion business; my client is looking for an Assistant Garment Tech to join their team.

You will be working across their private labels, in house brands and their wholesale brands covering multi product womenswear. You will need to have previous experience in a similar role and have fitting and technical garment skills.

Assistant Garment Technologist - The Role:

• Measuring garments, preparing fit logs, creating size and graded specs.
• Construct size specifications to produce samples of the required fit and silhouette
• Attending fit meetings and constructing detailed fit comments to factories in China, India, and the UK.
• Managing the sealing process from prototype through to shipment approval.
• Building supplier relationships to influence quality and fit.
• Liaising with design, buying and suppliers to offer technical guidance.
• Requesting and approving test reports.
• Maintaining the critical path.
• Arranging national & international courier parcels.

The Candidate:

• At least 1 year in an assistant technologist role.
• Capable of fitting unaided.
• Knowledge of construction & manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of pattern cutting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a tea
• knowledge of Far East manufacturing would be a bonus
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
