Job Description

Recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager, with a strong background in fulfilment operations, team leadership and delivery of a first-class service.  This role will be the central point for all logistical operations, to improve efficiency, pathways and activities, while ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time and in full (OTIF).

12206AA Warehouse Manager – The Job Outline

  • To own and implement the logistics plan to deliver the business growth & vision, and ensure a highly efficient daily fulfilment operation in all warehouses.
  • To lead a team with a continuous improvement approach in mind at all times, and to implement short and mid-term planning.
  • To take accountability and overall responsibility for a safe, efficient and high-performing operation and will lead, steer, plan, support and develop the team with a customer-centric, collaborative and continuous improvement approach in focus.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety manual to protect people and property and ensure a tidy, safe and organised warehouse.
  • The central point of contact for the operation or delegated responsibilities on behalf of Logistics.
  • Continuously improve efficiencies in the warehouse to save cost and maximise capacity.
  • Take the initiative, with the support of the Logistics manager, other managers and the Stock Controller to efficiently track and plan for incoming deliveries from ex-factory to warehouse.
  • Ensure a timely and accurate execution of orders to reach the customer within the agreed time frame.
  • Always lead by example and drive the determination to deliver all key performance indicators agreed with a focus on OTIF.
  • Execute and implement the logistics plans together with the Logistics team to ensure orders are picked accurately and despatched in a timely fashion.
  • Continuously review, document and implement the working processes (SOP, Standard Operating Procedure) to drive efficiency and maximise service to the end customer (trade and consumer).
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team to meet business and individual objectives.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings and annual appraisals to monitor and evaluate individual performance, offering constructive feedback and tailored development plans to encourage continuous personal development.
  • Provide day to day line management support including holiday approvals, dealing with absences, etc.

12206AA Warehouse Manager – The Person Specification

  • You will have a proven track record of assisting in the delivery of successful warehouse operations, ideally working in Retail, Wholesale & Digital commerce sectors, with a strong desire to step up and develop your skills.
  • Exceptional performer with a proven ability to achieve KPI’s and work to key procedures.
  • Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive role model with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor fellow colleagues.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the entire warehouse operations function.
  • You’ll have the drive and passion to take on more, to do things better, and to help us to improve processes, procedures and working practices.
  • Desire to broaden your business knowledge and be able to work collaboratively with teams across the business.
  • Demonstrate drive, energy and resilience to work in an agile environment.
  • You’ll be flexible and adaptable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • It’s essential that you can time manage with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
