Job Description

I am working with an established leather manufacturer and wholesaler, who work on a private label and wholesale basis to various High Street multiples and Independent stores.

They are looking for a passionate salesperson to join their small team in the West Midlands as a Sales Manager to help take one of their new in-house brands to market. You will understand the Accessories and Leather market and have a proven track record of successfully selling and growing accounts under you.

Understandably it’s a tough pitch at the moment, but they want someone who can look past that and face it head on with grit and determination.

The role will require you to travel so a company car would be provided within the package.

Accessories Sales Manager- The Role

  • Grow and develop an exciting new wholesale brand for this leather business
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Manage sample range and present to customers.
  • Negotiating costs and delivery dates with the customer.
  • Monitor and analyse the UK market and react to trends and missed opportunities.
  • Communicate daily with the factories overseas
  • To work closely with design, inhouse sampling and technicians to develop innovative and commercial ranges and ensure customer standards are met.
  • Oversee the critical path throughout the lifecycle of the process from concept/order to delivery.
  • Collate wholesale orders and raise PO’s. Pass OC’s to factories
  • Developing potential new business opportunities including store groups, high street retailers and independent stores.
  • Achieve set seasonal budgets/targets, and liaise with the company Directors and Shareholders to outline where you are up to with achieving.
  • Attend trade fairs etc.

Accessories Sales Manager -The Candidate

  • You will have a proven background in a similar role and an ability to open new doors with existing contacts.
  • Must have leather and accessories knowledge
  • You will be confident presenting and managing the customers’ expectations
  • You will be a strong negotiator and drive new business.
  • You will be a team player and able to problem solve
  • You will be a strong communicator, able to get the best from people.
  • Must have a passion to sell and leave no stone unturned!
