Job Description

This is truly exciting Wholesale Account Manager to be part of a UK Division of a multinational business across branded & licensed sports & intimates apparel.  Enticingly, they already have sports and fashion labels in their folio, and two global brand names on the horizon! .

Wholesale Account Manager – The Job Outline

  • Grow and develop new and existing wholesale business with customers in UK & Europe.
  • Manage and maximise opportunities for sales growth.
  • Deliver presentations, gain clear understanding of customers’ business needs and requirements, managing new customer set up, and planned critical path to delivery
  • Negotiate the terms of agreements and closing a sale including price, delivery, and specifications
  • Maintain and update all customer sales forecasts to determine stock bought/sold/markdowns
  • Ensure effective communications with all internal stakeholders incl. sourcing, supply chain, production and development teams.
  • Oversee the critical path throughout the lifecycle in conjunction with supply chain team
  • Reporting to Sales Executive, to set and meet annual sales targets, and maintain the corporate EBIT target per customer.
  • Travel as necessary, domestic & overseas.

Wholesale Account Manager – The Person Specification

  • Proven background in a similar role wholesale sales/account management role and an ability to open new doors. Experience within the sports, leisure or intimates market is essential.
  • Experience of working with distribution partners would be beneficial.
  • Confident sales, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the UK & European retail market.
  • Experience of managing inventory of wholesale stock (branded merchandise)
  • Comprehensive understanding of margins, markups, costings.
  • Skilled negotiator and ‘can-do’ attitude to drive new business.
  • Excellent team player – ability to influence others
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing demands, to multitask in a demanding environment
  • Must have a natural passion to sell brands/licenses and leave no stone unturned!
