Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Garment Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end process of garment production, from concept to delivery. The Garment Merchandiser will collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires a keen understanding of trends, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Garment Merchandiser - Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers to understand and interpret design concepts.
  • Source materials and accessories required for garment production.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to develop prototypes and samples.
  • Create and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of garments.
  • Monitor and track production progress, addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate with production teams to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of samples and production batches.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any quality issues.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Monitor production costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between design, production, and other relevant departments.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams. Provide regular updates on production status and address any concerns promptly.

Garment Merchandiser - Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Garment Merchandiser or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
  • Strong understanding of garment production processes and quality control.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and market dynamics.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
