My Client is a Long-established international clothing manufacturer they are looking for a confident, Menswear Designer with a passion for Tailoring and Contemporary Separates, with work experience in a commercial role. This person will be based from the London office with some hybrid working considered, you would work closely with the Design Director on Formal Menswear to creative commercial trend led ranges for the UK and International High Street.
Menswear Designer – The Role
- Researching and identifying the latest key trends to inspire and develop new garments/ranges.
- Producing detailed tech packs and sketches for the factory and the commercial team.
- Arranging swatch packs ensuring that selections are collated and edited in accordance with the customer brief.
- Liaising with fabric mills & internal fabric teams for sourcing samples
- Ordering fabrics, matching Pantones and chasing mills/factories to produce samples to meet deadlines
- Managing critical path timelines and approvals with customers
- Presenting in customer meetings and taking briefs
- Liaising with suppliers and customers daily and managing expectations.
- Attending garment fits and giving make up guidance.
Menswear Designer – The Candidate
- Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are required
- Fabric Sourcing and Development knowledge
- CLO 3D software experience preferred
- Product Development skills
- Strong technical and creative design skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
