Based within a manufacturing Mill, this well known Irish brand is recruiting for an experienced Senior Textile Sales Designer to design and sell apparel and accessory fabrics in the UK and international markets; designing for seasonal collections and bespoke customer developments. The brand is renowned for high quality and high quality tailoring cloth and clothing.
Senior Textile Sales Designer – The Job Outline
- Sales development of forward order and stock collections to luxury brands.
- Working with the Design Team to create fabrics which are unique to the brand and appeal to our high end trade customers – independent retailers, hotels, interior designers, international design houses and corporate gifting organisations and direct to consumer
- Keeping up-to-date with textile trends, as well as accessing the brand archives and interpreting these for production.
- Working with clients on bespoke developments and interpreting their ideas with design, colour and textures which suit their requirements and with efficient yarn management.
- Liaising with the Production Teams and understanding design implementation and bulk production.
- Maintaining and increasing sales with existing customers and prospecting for new customers and management of end to end sales cycle from building a sales pipeline.
- Together with the Design Team, admin, set-up and attendance at relevant trade shows.
- Overseas travel at specific times of the year.
Senior Textile Sales Designer – Qualifications & Experience
- Degree educated, experience within a similar role with proven textile sales success.
- An appreciation of quality natural fibre textiles and creativity in terms of colour, pattern, texture, design etc.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to forge good working relationships both internally and externally.
- Proficient in MSOffice, and quick to learn in-House systems.
- The ability to use initiative and complete all tasks and projects conclusively and to deadlines.
- A full clean driving licence is essential.
- Flexibility to travel and be away from home for 3-4 days at a time (during the selling season).
This is a full-time role which, due to its nature and scope, is not suitable for remote/hybrid working. A competitive salary is on offer.
