Description

Central London | Established, Fashion-Forward Womenswear Brand

My client is a highly successful womenswear brand celebrated for its effortlessly stylish and trend-led collections. They are now seeking a creative and commercially minded Casualwear & Merch Accessories Designer to join their dynamic team in Central London.

This role focuses on developing and designing a small, specialised range of casualwear, loungewear, and sleep-related products, including sweat packs, PJs, robes, and sleep gifting items. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently on a niche category, managing the full design-to-sample process, and collaborating directly the brand’s founder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop casualwear, loungewear, and sleep products, including sweat packs, brushback/loopback pieces, PJs, robes, and related sleep gifting items (woven and jersey fabrics).
  • Create embroidery designs and apply them to PJs, sweats, and loungewear.
  • Build and manage a small, cohesive range of products from concept through to production.
  • Produce detailed tech packs and follow the sampling process with factory partners.
  • Work closely with the design team, while also independently liaising with the brand’s founder and other suppliers.
  • Incorporate trend insights while having the flexibility to create product ranges that can exist outside of the main collection trends.
  • Ensure that all designs align with the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in casualwear, loungewear, or related product design.
  • Strong experience with embroidery and embellishment design on apparel.
  • Proficient in creating tech packs and working with factories through the sampling and production process.
  • Ability to manage a small product range independently and confidently liaise with external partners.
  • Strong understanding of materials, fabrics, and construction relevant to casualwear and sleepwear.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and able to work in a somewhat isolated area of the business while staying aligned with overall brand direction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take creative ownership within a thriving womenswear brand, designing stylish, trend-led nightwear, casualwear, and accessories collections that resonate with today’s fashion-conscious customer.
