My Client, a leading fashion retailer, is seeking a General Manager to lead its Bangladesh operation, overseeing $300–350 million in annual sales and managing 70+ suppliers across woven, jersey, and knitwear.
This role is responsible for protecting brand reputation, maximising profitability, and delivering best-quality garments on time, at competitive prices and optimal lead times.
Fashion - General Manager – Responsibilities
- Set budgets and forecast monthly sales and profit performance
- Identify new product and supplier opportunities
- Lead and develop a senior team (Merchandising, Technical, Finance, HR, Compliance, Shipping)
- Strengthen supplier capability and service levels
- Review and enhance SOPs and operational standards
- Oversee financial performance, audits, and tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations
Fashion - General Manager - Candidate Profile
- Senior leadership experience in global apparel sourcing for UK retail.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing
- Proven P&L management at $300M+ scale
- Commercially driven with strong supplier management skills
This role will benefit from a full ex-pat package, including accommodation, driver and flights home. You must have experience working in a UK Fashion Head Office to be considered.
