I am partnering with a highly successful manufacturer, who create Womenswear, Menswear and Childrenswear for the UK High Street. They are looking to appoint a new Pattern Cutter into their amazing Leicestershire based Head Office.
As a 3D Pattern Cutter, your primary responsibility will be to create precise 3D digital patterns that align with the design specifications using Optitex. This involves working closely with designers and garment technologists to ensure that each pattern is not only accurate but also optimised for production. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of fit and quality. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in pattern cutting, with a particular emphasis on 3D digital techniques.
Proficiency in software such as CLO 3D, Optitex, or similar is essential.
Digital Pattern Cutter- The Role:
- Creating and developing 3D pattern using pattern cutting software
- Translating design concepts into accurate digital patterns and prototypes
- Working closely with Design and Garment Tech teams to ensure fit, balance and construction are correct from initial stage
- Amending and refining patterns in line with fit sessions and customer feedback
- Supporting the reduction of physical sampling through effective 3D development
- Ensuring alignment between 3D patterns and bulk production requirements
- Liaising with factories and overseas offices to support development and execution
- Managing own workload and ensuring all critical path dates are met
- Supporting fit sessions and making necessary adjustments to patterns
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
Digital Pattern Cutter- The Person:
- Must have previous experience in Pattern Cutting (ideally within a supplier environment)
- Strong experience using Optitex, or any other 3D pattern cutting software
- Good understanding of garment construction, fit and grading
- Attentive to detail with a strong technical mindset
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Positive, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skill
