Senior Lingerie Garment Technician - Key Accountabilities
- Work with the Head of Technical and other Senior Technologist to technically develop lingerie collections that deliver on quality, innovation, fit and compliance.
- To ensure each piece is market leading and in line with the core values of the brand and product strategy.
- Set and maintain technical standards across product area, ensuring the customer requirements at the centre of policy
- Ensure all technical standards are frequently communicated to all stakeholders involved in the design, development and production processes (internal and external)
- Deliver clear specifications on design tech packs to include fit, fabric quality, construction standards and components
- Approve fit and construction standards
- Work with pattern development team to ensure that all relevant blocks and patterns are in place
- Benchmark product against commercial and technical competitors ensuring a market leading position feeding into the product development strategy
- Manage fabric and trim (raw material) performance requirements and ensure quality, comfort and innovation are embedded into the raw material strategy
- Ensure the integrity of product data on internal systems and customer/supplier facing
- Monitor product performance through sales, perfect returns and product failure
- Maintain up to date knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and manufacturing innovations
- Play active role in department/ product supply and sourcing strategy
Senior Lingerie Garment Technician - Skills & Competencies
- Extensive technical experience within lingerie, intimates or swimwear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting
- Knowledge of fabric performance, testing standards, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent fitting and measurement skills
- Ability to produce clear and detailed technical documents
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and supplier-management skills
- Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
- Proficiency in CAD, PLM systems, or garment-specific software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, CLO3D)
