I am working with a well-known brand, who are seeking a dynamic Footwear Brand Manager to join their team in Central London.

As a Footwear Brand Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of the brands footwear line. Your strategic vision and keen market insight will drive the brand's success, ensuring it stays ahead of industry trends.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, overseeing product development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging. Your ability to interpret market data and consumer behaviour will be crucial in making informed decisions that enhance brand visibility and profitability.

  

Footwear Brand Manager- The Role:

  • Attend and prepare for seasonal briefings, product range reviews, and strategy meetings
  • Manage sell-in, including range selection, pricing structures, and minimum order quantities.
  • Ensure full alignment on brand direction, seasonal directives, product guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams across brand approvals, marketing assets, co-op activities, and vendor processes.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive landscape.

 

Wholesale Sales & Account Management

  • European travel as required for key account & distributor meetings and trade shows.
  • Build and manage the wholesale sales function from the ground up.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and forecasts in line with business KPIs.
  • Act as the primary contact for retail accounts, distributors, and agents across approved territories.
  • Identify, develop, and grow new and existing accounts, continuously seeking opportunities to improve sales performance.
  • Own the sales appointments diary, booking and attending all sales meetings within approved windows.
  • Negotiate new account terms and conditions within Brand KPIs and manage end-of-season negotiations.
  • Ensure new account set-up documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure credit insurance and or pro forma terms are in place.

 

Critical Path & Operations

  • Work with Management to set and manage the critical path from an account/distributor focus, aligned to the brands deadlines.
  • Communicate critical path milestones to all stakeholders, ensuring deadlines for sample orders, launches, order windows, and deliveries are met.
  • Liaise with Customer Care and Operations to ensure all orders are raised, confirmed, and tracked through the sampling/production process.
  • Utilise free-to-sell reports and trade opportunities to maximise sales.

 

Marketing & Product Development

  • Share and coordinate seasonal marketing plans with accounts and distributors.
  • Negotiate promotional activities and contributions with in-house and account marketing teams.
  • Liaise with the in-house marketing function to ensure all assets are distributed within the critical path
  • Collaborate with the design team on product development, including styling, colourways, pricing strategy, range building, and designer collaborations.

 

Reporting & Performance

  • Analyse wholesale sales and account performance, providing timely reporting to Management.
  • Conduct regular trade meetings and calls with accounts and distributors.
  • Report appointment minutes to Management and own all in-house sales tools and samples.

 

 

 

Footwear Brand Manager- The Person:

  • European Brand and/or Key account footwear sales and product experience within the fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle retail environment, with a track record managing strategic retail accounts, typically gained over 4–5+ years of experience.
  • You combine an analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate KPIs and complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Lifestyle Footwear & Fashion Market expertise with strong relationships with Pan European key account contacts.
  • A proven track record in building footwear brands with the ability to execute the agreed brand and sales strategy.
  • Marketing & Brand Strategy experience
  • Leadership & Project Management
  • Excellent organizational and time-management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
