Immediately available opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading suppliers of high-quality corporate, promotional and sportswear, as a Garment Technologist/QC on an initial 6-month contract.
With an expanding product range and a strong focus on sustainability, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in supporting its product development, compliance and technical functions.
Working closely with the Product Manager, you will provide technical support and advice across the product development and marketing teams, with a particular focus on product compliance and the Product DNA project.
Garment Technologist - Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for the Product DNA packaging and relabelling project, ensuring the business is prepared for Digital Product Passports (DPP).
- Creating and approving label artwork. Ensuring factory audits and garment compliance documentation are up to date.
- Assisting with garment testing, wash testing and fit samples.
- Supporting garment fitting and sealing alongside the Product Manager. Undertaking industry research and stock tracking.
- Proofreading brochures, marketing materials, website content and distributor documentation.
- Maintaining and updating product sheets.
- Providing general administrative support to the apparel design and development team, including holiday cover for the QC function.
Garment Technologist – Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within the role of garment technologist/ product developer with apparel, fashion or textiles experience is essential. Additional knowledge of fabric testing, quality and compliance would be highly advantageous.
- Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive.
- You’ll need excellent administrative and communication skills,
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
