Job Description

As an experienced Brand Marketing Manager, with a background in FMCG brand marketing, you will be a creative individual brimming with ideas to increase brand awareness and drive new customer acquisition. Your role will be to develop and execute a ‘best in class’ integrated communications plan, as the Champion for two award winning sustainable brands in babycare & personal care market.

Brand Marketing Manager – The Job Outline

Responsible for full offline & online marketing mix and to manage, develop and inspire your supporting team to:

  • Create and implement marketing campaigns and support all strategies, promotional campaigns and products in the marketing calendar.
  • Develop a deep understanding of core customers, as well as any new target consumers. Conduct research to analyse customer behaviour, preferences, and trends in the market.
  • Work with the HOM to develop the overall marketing strategy and annual marketing budget. To drive profitable growth across the portfolio and maximises return on investment.
  • Work on the development of any new brand / product launches or brand refreshes supporting the Brand, Operations, Merchandising and Sales teams in the execution to market including critical path planning and product launches.
  • Be an inspiration team leader, sharing knowledge, training and developing them in marketing strategies and to implement unique and exciting ideas.
  • Work with the Group PR Manager to implement the PR strategy and communications campaign activity.
  • Manage all social media channels with daily content. Work to develop and support the Content Creator in creating all social media communication.
  • Help grow the social media community by planning, briefing and scheduling content
  • Work with the team to manage and nurture online communities to create dialogue with existing customers, and provide a forum where they can engage with the brand and become brand advocates.
  • Develop a network of bloggers & influencers to help produce content and raise awareness of the brands.
  • Craft clear, engaging product & brand content, including live video and physical events that are true to each brand.
  • Work alongside the Digital Marketing Assistant to ensure all brand activity and campaigns are executed seamlessly, are to the highest standard across all media, and are consistent across all channels.
  • Develop print material for Trade and for consumer.
  • Support the cross functional team on packaging development and NPD. Conduct research (e.g. consumer research, transit trials) to ensure new developments are executed successfully.
  • Complete weekly marketing update and monthly board report, looking at key offline and online activities past (and forward), results, analysis and future recommendations.
  • Competitor analysis – regularly report to the marketing team about noteworthy campaigns and events.

Brand Marketing Manager – The Person Specification

  • Ideal FMCG background, highly experienced in brand marketing management (min.7yrs )
  • Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience creating brand engagement through PR, email, social media, brand content and other communication channels.
  • Track record in managing rebrand projects and driving new customer acquisition.
  • Experience within e-commerce as well as with 3rd party retailers.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of digital marketing and the ability to analyse campaigns using various data sources.
  • Creative and innovative thinker and ‘out of the box’ problem solver.
  • Excellent communicator (spoken and written word), with accuracy and great attention to detail.
  • Able to manage and motivate a small team.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Competent IT skills, with good working knowledge of MS Office programs and the ability to learn in-house systems quickly. Good working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • An interest in the environment and sustainability.
