This is a great opportunity to join an established and dynamic team in London as a Design Assistant, you will be a proactive, creative and driven. Day to day you will be completing trend reports, preparing for design meetings and supporting the designers with admin. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and keen to learn, this is an ideal role for someone who is ready to take their next step in the industry.
Design Assistant – The Role and Responsibilities
- Compiling Trend Research from Catwalks, blogs, editorial and social media
- Competitive shopping trips
- Attending and preparing for design development meetings
- Supporting the Senior Designers with meeting follow up
- Working closely with the Account Managers and assisting them with product development
- Sketching and completing detailed tech packs
- Prepare fabric swatch packs and source trims
- Assisting with the general upkeep of the office, ensuring things are always tidy and organised
Design Assistant – The Skills
- Design Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Trend led portfolio with a commercial eye
- Confident in presenting ideas and research
- Ability to work well in a busy team and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong Organisational skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
