My client is a premium, feminine and fashion-forward womenswear brand in the heart of London. They are looking for a senior garment tech to join a team of passionate professionals within this rapidly growing brand. This is your chance to make a significant impact within fittings, quality, and processes. You will have experience with dresses, and ideally, cups, boning, structured bridal or lingerie.
FULL TIME IN HOUSE
Senior Garment Technologist - The Role:
- You will be ensuring the highest standards of garment construction and fit.
- Your keen eye for detail and deep understanding of fabric behaviour will be crucial in developing products that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.
- You will be the key contact for international suppliers, and you will be confident in building solid relationships with them.
- You will have a varied knowledge of fabrics, constructions and commercial manufacturing techniques, for premium womenswear.
- This role will be part of an established team, and you will lead and mentor more junior team members.
- Manage sample development, fittings and key sign-off dates within the critical path
Senior Garment Technologist - The Person
- Knowledge of pattern cutting and grading is desirable.
- Solid experience with garment construction across various womenswear categories is essential.
- A solid understanding of fabric properties and performance is requires.
- Experience in liaising with suppliers and feeding back detailed, accurate and technical fit comments.
- Your ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently will be highly valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are key; you will work closely with the Brand Founder and internal design and development teams.
Permanent right to work in the UK is essential for this role.
