Description

We are looking for a passionate and creative Designer with an edgy urban/sports handwriting and a strong portfolio that reflects your individual design style.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of projects and bespoke collections, collaborating closely with the wider design and product teams. You’ll play a key role in developing seasonal ranges, from initial research and creative concepts through to detailed designs, technical specifications and final samples.

An excellent eye for detail, colour and commercial design is essential, alongside a strong understanding of the current sport, streetwear and activewear markets.

Junior / Sports Apparel Designer - Responsibilities

  • Research seasonal trends, key items, silhouettes and market direction.
  • Prepare creative research across themes, colours, fabrics and key trends in line with the seasonal brief.
  • Develop original design concepts, sketches and technical specifications.
  • Create mood boards, trend boards and visual concepts.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of relevant trends and fashion history to inform silhouettes, finishes and fabric choices.
  • Work closely with the Design Manager, Product Manager and Sales Team to build seasonal ranges.
  • Maintain accurate records of design and product development for each style, including fabrication, print and technical details.
  • Produce detailed specification sheets and technical packs.
  • Follow range plans and critical paths, ensuring all key deadlines are met.
  • Attend fit sessions and implement amendments into specifications and technical packs.
  • Communicate design and fit changes clearly to relevant suppliers.
  • Manage the development of samples and ensure deadlines are achieved in line with the critical path.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, clients, brand owners and collaborators.
  • Travel to different locations when required for meetings, fittings, client presentations and collaborations.
  • Contribute creative and technical solutions throughout the design and development process.
