Description

 Our client has been creating timeless, ethical womenswear for 30 years. Inspired by artisanal craft, rich global textile traditions, and a deep commitment to fair trade and sustainability. They are now looking for a creative and commercially aware Designer to join their small and passionate team In Leicester, playing a key role in shaping our seasonal collections from concept to final product.

The right designer wil have expereience desgning multiproducts: wovens, knits,  prints across a range of style catagories.

The Role- Womenswear Designer-Muliproduct

  • Designing seasonal womenswear ranges that align with the Nomads brand identity and core customer profile.
  • Leading and supporting the concept development process, including trend forecasting and initial idea generation.
  • Creating mood boards, colour palettes, and seasonal storyboards that visually communicate the creative direction.
  • Designing exclusive print and textile patterns, ensuring they reflect both aesthetic appeal and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Conducting in-depth trend, fabric, and sustainability research to inform design decisions and maintain a fresh yet timeless appeal.
  • Supporting the range planning process by developing well-balanced collections across styles, categories, and price points.
  • Collaborating with overseas suppliers to translate design concepts into production-ready garments, with attention to fit, fabric, and finish.
  • Working cross-functionally with the buying, marketing, and sales teams to ensure collections are commercially viable and on-brand.
  • Maintaining clear and consistent design documentation, including tech packs, CADs, and print specifications.


The Person- Womenswear Designer-Muliproduct

  • Proven experience in fashion or textile design, ideally within womenswear.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating commercial design skills, with a focus on print, textile, and garment development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
  • A solid understanding of garment construction, sustainable fabric options, and ethical print techniques.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify trends, understand customer needs, and inform strategic design decisions.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for sustainable, slow fashion and a desire to design with purpose.
