This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to play a key role in shaping trend-led product ranges for a major UK retail business while leading regional sourcing and development initiative from an office in New Delhi.
As Product Manager (Womenswear/Girlswear Non-Clothing & Jersey) you will be responsible for maximising sales and profitability within the assigned product categories by developing commercially successful seasonal ranges for the UK market. Working closely with in-house design teams, UK Buying & Design teams, and regional suppliers/manufacturers, the role will ensure the delivery of high-quality, trend-led product ranges that provide a competitive advantage for the business.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, product development expertise, and the ability to manage strategic supplier relationships across the region.
Product Manager – Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver commercially successful seasonal product ranges for Womenswear/Girlswear Non-Clothing & Jersey categories.
- Build strong product strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Work closely with UK Buying and Design teams to understand customer needs, fashion trends, and market direction.
- Manage product development from concept through to production, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Source and develop strong supplier, mill, and manufacturer partnerships to maintain competitive pricing, innovation, and lead times.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify product opportunities and gaps in the range.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small design team while promoting collaboration across merchandising, technical, and sourcing teams.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to maximise business growth.
- Ensure excellent stakeholder management through regular communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Present product overviews and support customer visits and business review meetings.
- Travel regularly to the UK to align with buying teams and present new product developments.
Product Manager – Person Specification
- Strong background in design and/or product development within Womenswear, Girlswear, Woven and Knit categories for the UK retail market.
- Proven experience in sourcing, range building, and product management within a fashion retail or sourcing environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales growth and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly analytical, resourceful, and solution-oriented.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
